Arborist/Crew Lead – Climbing & Bucket Truck Operator
Location: Niagara Region (Based in Fonthill)
Pay: $30 - $40/hr (based on experience) + performance-based bonuses
Full-time (40+ hours/week, seasonal slowdowns in winter)
DZ License Required
Driftwood Tree Service is looking for a safety-conscious, charismatic, and dependable arborist to join our team. This role is perfect for someone with at least three years of experience who not only has the skills but also the right attitude—someone who leads by example, values teamwork, and brings a positive energy to the job site every day.

Responsibilities:
-Maintain a strong focus on safety and uphold industry best practices
-Utilize chainsaws and rigging techniques to safely complete tree work
-Oversee job site organization and cleanliness
-Climb and operate a bucket truck for tree removals, pruning, and rigging
-Lead the onsite crew, ensuring efficiency, safety, and professionalism
-Communicate directly with customers, providing expert guidance and exceptional service
-Report directly to the company owner, playing a key role in operational success
Qualifications:
-DZ License (mandatory)
-ISA Certification preferred (444A/444B and IHSA training are assets)
-Honest and transparent – committed to clear communication with customers and team members
-Minimum three years of experience in climbing and bucket truck operation
-Proficient in chainsaw use, rigging techniques, and aerial rescue procedures
-Reliability and attention to detail – consistently delivers high-quality work while maintaining a safe, organized job site
